About Us

Building Futures, Not Just Services

Founded in 2019, The Mindful Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fostering economic growth in Milwaukee's underserved communities through workforce training, holistic support, and direct employment pathways.

Our Story

The Mindful Group was born from a simple observation: traditional workforce development programs treat training as the finish line, when it's actually just the starting point.

We built something different — an integrated model that combines career training with the wraparound support people actually need: child care, transportation, housing, and mental health services. When you remove the barriers, people don't just complete training — they launch careers.

Since 2018, we've trained 525+ people with a 90% graduation rate and 85% job placement. We partner with community leaders, schools, and businesses. And we're part of a larger ecosystem — House Reed — engineered specifically to reverse urban poverty.
